My impression is that todays townhome buyer looking for that perfect lifestyle of the infamous “6/6″ (6 months in Florida and 6 months in North Carolina) can get just about anything they want. I found new townhome pricing from the $130’s to over a million dollars.

There are townhomes on the market that provide for a maintenance free lifestyle. You can find a villa, townhome or condo in any setting whether it be the beach or with a golf course view and just pick up and go when the temperature starts to warm up.

The builders prices on townhomes are reasonable enough that they have townhomes pre-sold that are in permitting and not even out of the dirt yet. Apparently, the demand and absorption is there for the townhome market but just don’t look for builders to have an abundance of inventory of town homes at this point and time. They’re apprehensive about getting too far ahead of themselves. This is a catch 22.

However, there are the resales to work with and those are very competively priced for the buyer looking for a deal right now. Since most were purchased as new construction on speculation, they have never been lived in. Compound this with great rates on financing and one can find themeselves living the life of luxury. It really is a great time to buy!
